Sorin Grama – Co-Founder
Sorin emigrated from Romania with his family in 1987. He overcame the cultural shock and learned the English language while attending Ohio State University where he completed a B.S. Electrical Engineering degree with highest honors. Following graduation, his sense of adventure took him to far-away places like Australia, eventually ending up in Northern California as sales manager for National Instruments. He left NI to join a system integration firm and became part owner of the business. Yearning for more knowledge, he moved to Boston to attend MIT where he completed a Masters of Science in Engineering & Management degree with a thesis on solar thin-film PV industry dynamics. While at MIT he met his future co-founder, Sam White, and together they started Promethean Power. Besides serving as CEO, Sorin also leads the engineering team and helps with the implementation of our proprietary software algorithms.
